Q-Tip to Release Kamaal the Abstract on September 15, 2009

July 2009 – New York, NY – Q-Tip announces Kamaal the Abstract will be released on September 15, 2009. Back in April 2002, Arista cancelled the release of Kamaal the Abstract and shelved the album due to what Arista executives described as a lack of commercial appeal. After leaving Arista and signing with Universal Motown, Q-Tip released the critically acclaimed album, The Renaissance on November 4, 2008. The success of his latest release may have helped propel the release of Kamaal the Abstract – the previously unreleased precursor of- and now the follow-up to The Renaissance (Universal/Motown, 2008).

Kamaal the Abstract Original Track Listings:
1. Feelin’
2. Do U Dig U?
3. A Million Times
4. Blue Girl
5. Barely In Love
